You Asked: What is being built behind Banner Bank on Fairview Avenue?

You Asked

A new building is rising just off of Fairview Avenue.

A reader asked BoiseDev about a new project behind the now-shuttered Banner Bank building at the corner of Fairview and Allumbaugh Street. The project under construction is a single-bay truck washing station for trucks rented by a nearby car rental company.

Nowhere on the application does it say what company will be using the truck wash, but the permit documents in the city’s building permit system label the project “Enterprise truck rental” in several places.

The project is being designed by Boise-based architecture firm CSHQA and built by Stroth Construction. The building will be constructed out of metal and will include clear glass panes in the ceiling to let natural light into the space. It will also be equipped with washing equipment and will be heated to prevent freezing during the winter months.

The nearby Banner Bank building is still closed and up for lease from the firm Arthur Berry & Company.
