BoiseDev.com is a member of the Idaho Press Club – a professional organization dedicated to improving journalism in Idaho.
BoiseDev.com is a production of Day365.
The effort started in 2013 with a series of tweets. The popularity of the tweets led to a newsletter in 2015, and this website launching in 2016. BoiseDev has grown to be the most laser-focused place to find development news and notes in the greater Boise area. Long-form stories mix with quick hit items and an extensive Project Tracker.
The site will work hard to break many development-related stories. It will also link to great work from journalists at traditional news organizations.
With more than a decade in journalism, editor Don Day believes in getting it right, digging deeper, and being transparent. Don’s family owns and manages the Vista Village shopping center on the Boise Bench. It is Idaho’s first shopping center, and was founded by his great grandfather in 1949. He has no personal stake in the business. This fact will be disclosed on items when appropriate.
Don spent nearly 18 years with the KTVB News Group – building KTVB.COM from less than 1-million views per month to more than 25-million – and developed mobile apps, innovative platforms, and received significant recognition for his work – including the prestigious National Edward R. Murrow award for best newscast, and – with a team of talented folks – two additional National Edward R. Murrow awards for best website. After ten years in news, Don moved to a management role as digital sales & product manager – where he managed a team of folks who help build top-notch marketing solutions for advertisers.
