Luciano’s – the popular Italian restaurant on Orchard St on Boise’s Bench, is planning to branch out.
Caffe Luciano is planned for a postage stamp piece of land on the Boise River in Garden City’s Waterfront District.
The restaurant is nestled deep in an otherwise residential neighborhood, next to a set of new townhomes at Adams St. & Prospect Way.
The property, owned by Asin General Contractors owner Gary Asin, sits in the catbird’s seat – directly off a footbridge that serves the new Esther Simplot Park & Quinn’s Pond on the Boise side of the river.
This will give the stretch of river its fourth spot for food & drink within a half mile on the Garden City side. Nearby Telaya Winery and The Sandbar both take advantage of their riverfront setting as part of the Riverside Hotel. Joe’s Crab Shack is also nearby.
The rendering for Caffee Luciano shows a small indoor facility with ample outdoor seating.
It’s set to open in spring 2017.
