The big, splashy plan for a gleaming new campus on the old Bob Rice Ford for College of Western Idaho will have to wait. The Idaho Press Tribune reports the campus plan is on hold – with no plan B at the moment. Plans for a Nampa health sciences building are also on hold
Voters across Canyon & Ada counties decided that spending $258 million for new facilities was a bridge too far (the bond had $180 MM in principal with more than $70 million in interest).
Bond measures failed across the area – with efforts for a Meridian Library, Meridian Poll and Fruitland City Hall all going down to defeat.
