And then there was one.

Idaho Camera has taken one last parting shot with its Adventure Shop in the Boise Towne Square Mall. The development leaves just the Orchard St. store – which it has rechristened Idaho Camera and Adventure.

The longtime Idaho fixture started with a store in Downtown Boise at 8th and Main in 1946 and expanded with locations in Vista Village, on Orchard St. and in Nampa.

The Downtown store has long since closed and the Vista Village location shut down in recent years.

The company opened a location in the Boise Towne Square Mall in 1988 where it remained until this week.  Idaho Camera was one of the few original tenants left in the mall – and the only local store to be open all 30 years.

The mall will mark 30 years on October 19th and is currently seeing a large number of vacancies – this will make 19 empty store fronts.
