J. Crew offshoot Madewell plans Treasure Valley store

J. Crew, Inc. is set to open a store for its Madewell brand in coming months, according to job postings and public filings, adding another retail fashion brand to a growing part of the area.

The retailer has applied for a permit for a vacant space at the Village at Meridian, between Victoria’s Secret PINK and Lush Cosmetics, directly across from Kona Grill on Monarch Sky Ln.  The company is also hiring for managers and sales associates for the store.

Madewell is focused on jeans and denim products for women, as well as “all the things you wear with denim,” including jackets, bags and tees. The brand also recently disclosed plans to expand into menswear.
