Eagle Rd. to get second location of Boise Bench pizza joint

Wife and husband team Shannon Lincoln and Kacey Montgomery plan their third local restaurant – and second pizza joint.

Red Bench Pizza opened in early 2017 (originally under the name Pizzeria Sazio, with the new name rolled out about a year ago) on the Boise Bench on Vista Ave. at Kootenai St.

Now, residents of Eagle and the Meridian area will get to take a seat at the Red Bench.

“We are finalizing plans now, hoping to be opening March,” Lincoln said. “Since we don’t have permits yet and contractors are busy, we are trying to be realistic.”

Lincoln says they’ve been working to get the menu at the Boise restaurant dialed in, and felt the time was right for expansion.

The new location will be part of the new Bridges at Lakemoor development on Eagle Rd. at Colchester St., in front of the new T-Sheets headquarters.

“We are so excited about growing the brand,” she said. “As much as it seems like there are lots of restaurants on Eagle road, when you get down the hill there really isn’t much. So I do think this development is well placed, well timed.”

Red Bench will join a new Luxe Reel Theater, Cafe Yumm (and maybe Trader Joe’s).
