Abandoned burger spot set to become soda shop

You might have seen work at the old Eat-a-Burger location on Cole Rd. in Boise in the parking lot of the Boise Towne Square.  Crews have been cleaning out the old building and getting it ready for something new — but what?

Fiiz Drinks plans to open up its first Idaho store, with seating for 23 soda-searching souls, according to permit filings with the City of Boise.

The Utah-based chain offers a large variety of soda drinks, Italian sodas, popcorn and more.

The menu features drinks like Pear Nekked Berry, Antifreeze and Chandler Bing (could this drink BE anymore fizzy?)

Fiiz has about 30 locations, including food trucks, spread across Utah and Nevada.

The newest entry joins another Utah-based chain, Sodalicious, which has locations in Eagle, Meridian and Nampa, and local outlet Soda Stop which has a store in Nampa.
