Jalapeno’s tries for another Boise location

After announcing it would take over the former Tailgate space near Ann Morrison Park earlier this year, the “coming soon” banners for Jalapeno’s Bar and Grill came down. Earlier this week, BoiseDev broke news that Base Camp Axe & Pong would instead go into the space.

So what about Jalapeno’s?

The locally-owned Mexican restaurant now has those banners back up in a new location – the former Murphy’s/Tilted Kilt/Tap and Cask location on Broadway Ave.

The large 8,500 square foot eatery closed earlier this year and was listed for lease.

No permits have been filed for the new restaurant and no word on when it might open.

The Jalapeno’s chain started with a location in Nampa before expanding to Boise on Franklin Rd. near the Boise Towne Square Mall. The outlets serve traditional hearty Mexican dishes, with a full bar and patio.
