New home brew & craft beer shop puts the focus on Idaho

Craft Brewers of Boise hopes to tap into growing demand for craft and home brewing with a new store on the Boise Bench.

The store and taproom will open at 420 N. Orchard near McDonald’s this month.

The brewing supply side of the business promises hops primarily from Idaho growers – as well as Oregon and Washington according to principal Eli Taylor.  They also plan brewing seminars and will rent equipment and books for folks looking to brew beer at home.

“Having access to ingredients the same way a professional brewer does allows people to improve their craft and get the best out of what they’re doing,” Taylor said.

The taproom is also carrying the Idaho beer mantle.

“Our selection will be 100% local, which sets our place up with a one of a kind experience,” he said. “Customers will have access to an unbeatable Idaho selection from our finest brewers of the state.”

Craft Brewers plans a selection of beer, wine and cider in both cans and bottles alongside the offerings on tap. The 2,400 square foot space will have seating for about 20 people as well as retail space.  Taylor said he is looking at a soft opening this week and a grand opening on December 28th.
