New batting academy set for Boise

D-Bat will open its latest franchised baseball and softball hitting facility in Boise soon.

The large facility will go into an industrial park on Eisenman Rd. near the Boise Factory Outlet Mall – taking up more than 20,000 square feet of space.

According to permits with the City of Boise, the remodel from industrial space into a hitting facility cost about $225,000. It will also include a small retail area.

The new Boise facility is part of a wave of openings for the company – with more than ten new facilities opening in coming weeks across the country.

D-Bat opened its first location in1998 outside of Dallas, Texas. Franchising started in 2009 and has expanded to 60 locations across the country.
