After nearly 30 years, this mall food court restaurant closed up shop

Blimpie Subs and Salads closed its store in the Boise Towne Square Mall Monday.

The sandwich chain opened just a few months after the mall opened its main doors in 1988. The restaurant served customers for 29 years.

A sign on the wall near the assembly line pointed customers to other locations around the area.

The food court at Boise Towne Square is otherwise full, but has lost restaurants from McDonald’s, Taco Time and A&W in recent years.
