Albertsons sets opening date for big new Meridian store

Albertsons Companies, the Boise-based grocery giant, plans to open its large new Meridian showcase store soon.

Built in a former Shopko location on Fairview Ave. near Eagle Rd., the Albertsons Market Street will be similar to a new store on Broadway Ave. – albeit with significantly more square footage.

The Meridian store will be nearly 100,000 square feet, more than a third larger than the Boise store. A spokesperson tells BoiseDev the store will have many features similar to its Boise sibling, but will add a number of features and expanded selection.
