New ‘destination’ brewery and pizza joint planned off Idaho 55

Idaho AGC Going Up

A new community-owned brewery is set to being construction in coming weeks. Spring Creek Brewing Company plans to build a new “destination brewery/pizza restaurant” in the Avimor community north of Boise.

The project is owned by a group of investors who bought into the concept since it first bubbled up in 2016. Ninety individuals purchase stakes in the project to date. More than $500,000 has been raised for initial equipment purchases, with the majority of the investors from Idaho, according to an Avimor spokesperson

Groundbreaking for the project is set for this Friday at the project site on Streams Edge Way, just off Idaho Highway 55.

“Our vision is to have great food and beer, host community events, live music, outdoor activities and in the future to develop relationships with local businesses and organizations to help enrich the community we love so much,” the founders wrote in a project summary.

Jeff Badigian and Marc Grubert teamed up for the project. Grubert is a regional VP at Magid Gove and Safety, and has worked to develop the single-track biking system in the Avimor area. Badigian is a home brewer who has snagged Western Idaho Fair awards for his creations.

A seven barrel brewery will pair with a wood-fired oven and a restaurant decorated with an “outdoor Idaho” theme.

They hope to complete construction and be open this year.
