New bar set for Hyde Park

We now know a bit more about what will go in next to the future Certified Kitchen + Bakery.

The Cocktail Co., LLC plans a new bar along 13th St., next to the bakery. The businesses are slated for the old Certified Cleaners spot which closed last year.

The project, dubbed Hyde Park Bar would have room for about 87 patrons, according to permit filings. A bar would run along one side of the narrow tenant space, with table seating in front and a patio for 20 people outside. Space for four cars and bike parking would be provided. A spot for a food truck was removed according to city staff reports to better meet parking requirements.

The patio would be served with a “garage door” style opening.

The bar would not serve food.
