Chess-themed cafe headed for Boise mall

A new espresso stand with a chess theme is set to open in Boise Towne Square.

Chess Cafe remodeled a small 700-square foot space right by Old Chicago at the main entrance. The former Oconik store and one-time bank ATM has been revamped into a coffee shop.

A series of tables and chess sets allow visitors to enjoy a few rounds of the strategy games. The checkerboard theme is carried over to the walls and tile floors.
