Popeye’s says bye bye to Broadway – is The Habit still forming?

The Popeye’s Louisiana Kitchen location on Broadway Ave. in Boise shut its doors last week.

The franchisee filed plans to build out a new location for The Habit burger. It submitted a raft of building permits for remodeling, new kitchen equipment and signs.

But the key building permits did not finish the process, and no activity is taking place.

Boise retail specialty firm Cushman & Wakefield now lists the 3,049 square foot building for lease.

A representative for franchisee of Habit & Popeye’s did not immediately return a request for comment.

Popeye’s returns to a single Boise location on Fairview Ave. The Habit maintains locations in Meridian and Nampa.
