Downtown Boise furniture store to close doors

Renewal Consignment will close up shop later this month, according to a notice posted on Facebook. Renewal offers a variety of furniture pieces in a warehouse setting in Downtown Boise.

“It is with deep regret that we here at Renewal are informing you of our closure,” manager Sarah Condit wrote. “It has been a wonderful 19 years, but unfortunately we will no longer be selling or consigning furniture.”

The letter says Condit decided to explore another career opportunity.

Chris Johnson founded Renewal in 2000 on S. 8th St. in Boise. She sold the business in 2003 and it changed hands again to owners based in San Francisco and Hailey.

The Facebook note says the shop will remain open until May 26th.
