‘High end’ car dealership planned for old bank site

Idaho Central Credit Union moved to a new Fairview Ave. branch near Steelwood Way last year. Now the former ICCU site at 10990 W. Fairview could get a new use.

Cornerstone Commercial Real Estate applied to rezone the 1.29 acre property. The change would allow a car dealer on the lot – which the current zone does not allow for.

The old ICCU parcel is one of the only lots in the area along Fairview Ave. without the C-2D zoning. In recent decades Fairview transformed into “auto row,” with dozens of car dealers, including franchise brands and small used car lots.

ALC Architecture said in an application letter that the current site would remain “as is.”
