Last local Skippers restaurant listed for sale

TOK Commercial

Skippers Seafood and Chowder House once hosted a string of locations around the Treasure Valley – including on Broadway, Overland, in Nampa and elsewhere.

The franchised chain dwindled down to just one location – on Fairview Ave. near Curtis Rd. Now that business is for sale.

Skippers launched in Bellevue, WA in 1969. The Fairview location in Boise opened in 1977 according to Ada County records. It is one of about 30 locations around the northwest, serving up fish, chips, clam chowder and other traditional seafood dishes.

A blind listing for the Skippers franchise prices it at $180,000. The listing says the location cash flows about $105,000 per year. It says current ownership is looking to move on to another opportunity.
