Going up: Massive concrete pour boosts new hotel & garage

Idaho's Biggest Toy Drive
Future in Focus Downtown - Mutual of America

The largest construction project currently underway in the Downtown Boise core took a big step this week.

Seventy-five truckloads of cement arrived at the corner of Front St. and 5th St. overnight Thursday. Crews with ESI Construction and its subcontractors worked overnight and into the morning hours to put the concrete pour in action for the project.

Project developer Clay Carley said this is the first in a series of similar events as the seven-story hotel and attached garage project continues to go up. The Home2 Suites by Hilton will feature 140 hotel rooms, while the garage will include more than 600 parking spaces.
