Moving in from the Edge: Popular brewery & restaurant plans Downtown Boise location

Edge Brewing Company is well named. Its current location sits in an area dominated by office parks and industrial buildings. While it’s just a few blocks from the mall, traveling to Edge can feel like a strange experience after dark.

But soon, Edge will expand to another edge: the edge of the Downtown Boise core.

The short-lived former Willowcreek and Raw location will soon be home to Edge’s second outlet. The restaurant along 10th St. near Idaho St. formerly hosted eateries like Milky Way and The Dish.

A video on Facebook confirms the rumor I’ve been hearing for a few weeks. If you haven’t been to Edge before, it mixes locally-brewed beers and ciders with a strong menu of pub food – burgers, tacos, fish and salads

The 3,584 square foot restaurant currently seats about 85 people inside on two levels, plus patio seating along 10th St.

Edge says it will be open this fall. No building permits have been filed with the city just yet.
