A new infill project will bring a total of 47 homes to a nearly 8-acre site in west Boise.

The Conger Group (dba Acme LLC in this case) plans to build the homes at the corner of Five Mile Rd. and Interstate 84 in the southwest quadrant. In the application, the future site of the Voyager neighborhood site is depicted – and described – as being filled with junk.

“We have thoughtfully designed 27 single-family residential dwellings and 20 attached townhomes on 7.89 acres that will add to the surrounding neighborhood,” the developers wrote in an application letter. “Located west of S. Five Mile Road and south of I-84, the Voyager neighborhood will add to the mix of Boise’s available housing opportunities.”

The single-family homes ring the outside of the property while attached townhomes sit in the center.

A small playground area sits near the entrance. The large cell tower along I-84 will remain on a common lot.

The site will require rezoning from the City of Boise. Planners have not yet set a hearing date.
