You asked: What’s the status of condos on old dry cleaner site?

Idaho Central Credit Union Business Banking

BoiseDev first told you about a condo project on the site of the old Baird’s Dry Cleaners on 8th St. in mid-2017, and so far the project hasn’t started construction. But, there is progress.

Southers Properties and property owner Buckeye Partners plans The Metropolitan on 8th St. and Fort St. Crews tore down the former dry cleaners building, leaving the lot vacant.

New applications into the City of Boise indicate the form of the project will change ever-so-slightly, switching from 31 units to 29.

“The change in layouts is because of market demand and pre-sales interest,” Patrick A. Tealey with Tealey’s wrote in an application letter. “There has been no change to the building’s exterior appearance or footprint.”

Condo units on the third and fourth floors will see reconfiguration to create a pair of larger units.
