Regal Beaver set to open in old Donut Daze spot

The old Donut Daze on 8th Street in Boise will soon open with a revised concept – and a new name. The Regal Beaver is set to open in the Main + Marketplace at 160 N. 8th Street.

As BoiseDev reported last month, Donut Daze closed – but said the new concept would still feature the donuts and fried chicken offered up before.

The business, as well as The Mode Lounge and Pie Hole are owned by Russ Crawforth. Crawforth told the Idaho Statesman he planned something a little bit ‘broader’ than the donut & chicken shop – with a focus on live music and karaoke. He also told the Statesman the menu would expand to add sandwiches. The Regal Beaver will also continue to offer a variety of beers and wines.

A literal peek behind the curtains shows new burgundy and teal wallpaper on the walls, plus a mounted animal head laying on a bench

“It’s going to be a weird place,” Crawforth told the Statesman. “I think this thing’s going to be cool, though.”
