Jamba out, boba tea & smoothie place in

The Jamba location on McMillan and Eagle Rd. in west Boise no longer serves customers.

But soon, a new bubble tea and smoothie chain will open in its place.

Tbaar, a New York-based chain of tea, smoothie and juice restaurants will open its first store in Idaho in its place. The menu also features coffees, lemonades, cakes and more.

Tbaar is clustered in the northeast, with a few locations in the midwest, Texas, and LA. The new Boise store sits near Centennial High School, next to the West Boise location of Paddles Up Poke.

Jamba has just one remaining location in the area, in the Boise Towne Square center court. Nationally, that chain worked to broaden its offerings beyond smoothies and dropped the ‘Juice’ from its name.
