Just a few months ago, we updated you on the progress of the large new Amazon fulfillment center under construction on E. Franklin Rd. in Nampa.

At the time, crews had the steel for a single wall framed up.

Now, less than two months later, the massive building is starting to actually look like a building.

We asked our friend Eric Turner at LightBender Media if he might be willing to grab some aerial video of the project. Eric, whose always been a step ahead of me, already had that video in the can.

“This thing is MASSIVE,” he wrote with his usual enthusiasm. “We just had to stop and gather some aerials of this masterpiece coming together.”

The video shows significant progress, with portions of three walls in place, both steel framing and exterior concrete. The roof of the project also is partially in place.

When complete, the fulfillment center will stand more than 650,000 square feet and employ as many as 1,000 workers. An opening date has not yet been announced.

Separately, Amazon started work on a distribution center in Boise near Gowen Rd. Dozens of Amazon Prime vehicles currently use the largely-empty Boise Factory Outlet Mall parking lot as a temporary staging site.
