Brookfield Properties, which owns Boise Towne Square, announced it will cut hours at the mall, effective immediately. The news comes as scores of national retailers announce temporary store closures.

“Effective Monday, March 16, the shopping center will operate between and noon and 7pm every day except for Sunday, when the hours are 11am to 6pm,” mall managers wrote.

The mall typically opens at 10am each day and stays open until 9pm. The new hours represent a significant contraction in open hours.

Many retailers with operations at Boise Towne Square announced they would shut down stores for now, including Apple, Abercrombie and Fitch, Gap, Vans and others.

The mall and its partner also pushed off Easter Bunny photos, with the hope it could open closer to Easter if conditions warrant.

Like many public facilities, the mall says it stepped up cleaning, added hand sanitizer dispensers and disinfecting high traffic areas.
