Alex Cardoza and his wife Tara Morgan started Wild Plum Events in 2015. Now, Cardoza and Morgan say they have opened their catering businesses doors to offer a new lunch restaurant.
“With most events canceled for the foreseeable future, we thought it was time to take the reins and try to provide some stability for our staff and vendors we work with,” Morgan said.
Luncheonette is located on Orchard Street in the property where Tom Sweeney’s Dutch Oven Cafe previously lived. The restaurant offers locally sourced and scratch-made food.
“We make most of our deli meats in-house, from our pasture-raised ham and roasted turkey to the grass-fed pastrami on our grilled cheese,” Cardoza said. “I like cultivating relationships with local farmers and ranchers and knowing where the food we serve comes from.”
People can enjoy Wild Plum Luncheonette’s variety of lunch foods, including vegan options, through its limited outdoor dining, delivery, or pickup.
The Luncheonette will be open Monday through Friday from 11 am to 2 pm.
