Meridian-area bakery/cafe locations go up for sale

Two area bakery and cafe locations just hit the market. The owners of the Great Harvest Bakery Cafe stores in Meridian and Eagle listed the businesses for sale.

For $930,000, someone can scoop up the two stores. The Meridian location opened more than a decade ago not too far from the Village at Meridian, and an additional location in Eagle opened in 2018.

“The original bakery in the iconic big red barn has been baking in the community for over 12 years with a very loyal and supportive customer base,” owners noted in a sales flier. “We added our second bakery/cafe to the rapidly growing area of North Meridian and Eagle Idaho in 2018. It immediately matched sales with the first store in its first year.”

The owners say in the sale flier that bakery sales increased this year, despite COVID-19.

A third local Great Harvest location – on Fairview Ave. in Boise – is not part of the sale.

Great Harvest is a Montana-based chain of stores, which expanded through franchising to include locations in all 50 states. The locations offer sandwiches and an array of baked-in-store goods like cookies and cakes.
