Popular Idaho mountain hot springs goes up for sale

If you’re someone who has thought about purchasing a hot spring, now may be the time to do it.

Silver Creek Plunge in the Boise National Forest, at the foot of Peace Valley, is listed for sale

Two hours from Boise, the property powered by a solar system with a generator backup, has many amenities, highlighted by the hot spring. Owners hope to fetch $2.1 million for the property.

“We feature camping, cabins, swimming, fishing, hiking, playground, volleyball, basketball and horseshoes for your outdoor recreation,” the Silver Creek Plunge package said. “Fishing in Silver Creek is good all summer. Beginning memorial Day and through Labor Day, Idaho Fish and Game stocks the creek with eight to 14-inch Rainbow Trout every other week.”

The listing says income for the owners comes from swimmers, people using the hot spring, cabins, campsites and a snack bar. More campsites are available on forest service leased land.

There is a living space above the hot springs for the owner or manager of the property.

Silver Creek Plunge is the third mountain resort for sale we’ve reported on in recent months. Both the Southfork Lodge near Lowman and Featherville Resort near Pine hit the market.
