Boise artists showcase work in public tour of studios

Boise Open Studios Collective Organization, also known as BOSCO, is hosting its annual tour. This year, though, there will be more ways to view, learn about and buy art.

The event will happen over two weekends, October 3-4 and October 10-11, and will feature over 65 local artists.

Paint, metal, fiber, glass, photography, assemblage and other types of art will be showcased.

[No Art in the Park, but the art sale will continue this year]

“I view the BOSCO studio tour weekend as primarily an educational event; not a sales event per se,” BOSCO member Lynn Fraley said on its website. “Though there certainly is artwork available for sale in many studios.”

You can either view the art in person by doing the drive-by tour or participate in an in-studio tour. Online options include a virtual video tour and Facebook Live events.

There is also an interactive map on BOSCO’s website that allows you to plan your tour. Using the map, you can learn more about the artist and add the studio to your custom route.

BOSCO is a non-profit volunteer organization that supports local artists.
