The Donut + Dog closes, new restaurant opens in Village at Meridian

Idaho's Biggest Toy Drive

Meridian’s The Donut + Dog, a restaurant that serves hotdogs and doughnuts, is moving. But the owners are keeping the location on Longwing Lane in the Village at Meridian and opening a new restaurant called Sid’s Garage.

Sid’s Garage serves comfort food, drinks and desserts. Similar to The Donut + Dog, the food combinations sound interesting.

Like the Midnight Munchies Shake that is vanilla bean ice cream, with fruity pebbles, brown butter glaze and a lollipop. Or the Jekyll & Hyde Burger that has caramelized peach, swiss cheese, mustard and bacon onion jam.

The burgers are locally sourced from Snake Rivers Farms and Double R Ranch.

While eating off this unique menu, you have the option to drink. Sid’s Garage offers 10 draft beers and flights of champagne and beer.

Starting on November 6, you can head to Sid’s Garage and try the more adventurous of the menu like the Midnight Munchies Shake. Or stay on the safer side and order a truffle parmesan or sweet potato fry where the menu dares you to find better.

Owners said they would announced the new location for Donut + Dog soon.
