In 2019, we told you about a new building at the corner of Broadway Ave. and Beacon St. in Boise. Constructions crews wrapped up work on the small building with a distinct look nearly two years ago, but it sat empty.
It’s a question we’ve gotten dozens of times: what will go in here?
Now we know.
Zoom Care Boise, again
Zoom Care will again try for success in the Boise market, opening an on-demand health care clinic in the 2,000 square foot building, according to permit records.
Zoom opened a Boise location once before, on Main St. in 2012. The clinic quietly closed two years later.
Zoom provides health services both in small in-patient clinics, as well as through telehealth. The company emphasizes technology for scheduling and patient records, according to GeekWire.
“Denver, Boise, and Boulder are fast-growing cities whose residents need better choices when it comes to their health,” Zoom Care CEO Torben Nielsen said in a release. “With these clinic openings, we’re bringing the same on-demand scheduling, no-wait in-clinic experience, and exceptional video-based care our patients in the Pacific Northwest (received).”
Zoom will also reopen a location that previously went out of business in Meridian. It will reopen the outlet at 2126 N. Eagle Rd., Suite 110 in the Village at Meridian – the same spot where the previous Meridian location closed.
A news release mentions that the Boise location would open by the end of the year. The building permit for Boise has not yet been issued. The Meridian Chamber of Commerce notes the Meridian location will open on December 18.
Since the previous attempt in the Boise market, nonprofit health system PeaceHealth acquired Zoom.
