New Zealand restaurant to close in downtown Boise

The authentic New Zealand restaurant Kiwi Shake and Bake is closing down on December 20, exactly two years after opening in 2018.

The restaurant that serves a variety of meat pies and other New Zealand favorites posted on Facebook that COVID-19 has been hard on the business. But adds that pies will still be available.

“We will still be around though so fear not, you can still get your meat pie fix. We will just be having a small service kiosk at our commercial kitchen off of W State St.”

The business will continue to sell pies through its wholesale brand, Pie-O-Neer Pies. The Facebook post says people who are still interested in buying pies and cakes can contact the business at kiwishakeandbake@gmail.com.
