Last year, BoiseDev told you about the Ada County Highway District’s plans to give cyclists on the Boise Bench an improved network.
Today, ACHD announced that construction will begin in January.
[This way for a bikeway: ACHD plans to upgrade Boise bench bike network]
Included in the project are bike lanes, signalized pedestrian/bicycle crossings, and a new pedestrian bridge through Cassia Park.
In addition, crews will add sidewalks on Cassia between Shoshone and Latah, and Cassia between Troxel and Franklin Park.

Irrigation and utility work will happen this winter. Sidewalks, pedestrian signals and roadway paving will start this spring and summer.
During construction, you can expect lane restrictions and short-term closures. Crews will work between 7am and 7pm.
