Want to understand growth & planning work in Idaho? Citizens’ academy aims to help

Local nonprofit Idaho Smart Growth is working with the University of Idaho’s Bioregional Planning Program to host the Citizens Planning Academy.

This is the fourth year Idaho Smart Growth has hosted CPA. The nonprofit created this event to help citizens become better advocates for different topics related to planning and growth.

This year’s CPA theme is Tools for Good Growth. People attending will learn about ways to make growth happen where they live.

Sessions this year will cover topics including comprehensive planning vs zoning, land use and development.

Sessions are free to attend through live video and if you can’t attend Idaho Smart Growth uploads the sessions to its YouTube Channel.

The 2021 schedule is as follows: March 3, April 7, May 5, June 2, August 4, September 1 and October 6.More information and how to sign up for sessions is available on the Idaho Smart Growth website.
