An upscale senior living apartment complex with a number of amenities could soon come to Meridian.
Gramercy Commons, developed by Intermountain Pacific, would serve a 55 and older audience with 164-unit luxury apartments. The project is located at 1925 S Wells Ave. and within the Gramercy District. The 43-foot tall building would be a mix of one and two-bed units that range from 500 to 1,200 square feet.
The Gramercy Commons features a host of amenities including a club/game room, a pool and hot tub area, a movie room, a fitness center, gardens, a sunset lounge and more.
“Gramercy Commons will be a highly amenitized apartment development focused on an active senior lifestyle,” Intermountain Pacific VP of Development, Mike Chidester wrote in an application letter.
The luxury complex would have light earth-toned colors with brick and metal detailing and trees surrounding the building. Within walking or biking distance of the complex are several restaurants such as the Gramercy Park Pizza & Grill, physician offices and other service places.
The complex would surround the parking area, creating a “wrap-style” parking garage with 291 spots.
“The result is a parking garage which is hidden from exterior view,” Chidester wrote. (It) saves acreage to dedicate to structures and not to parking, and gives tenants a comfortable parking option on the floor of their unit and out of the elements. This is a first within the City of Meridian”
Intermountain Pacific will go in front of the city’s Planning and Zoning Commission on May 20, 2021, to request a Conditional Use Permit.
