Retail, apartments, office, commercial and rec. center planned in large new project in Meridian

A large-scale project that includes retail, residential, and office space is planned for the SW corner of Franklin Rd. and Ten Mile Rd.

Elk Ventures LLC submitted plans to the City of Meridian for The 10, an almost 40-acre mixed-use development. It sits across the street from Ten Mile Crossing, which BoiseDev told you about last week, in this fast-growing area of Meridian.

The 10 would include 559 residential units, which would be a mix of apartments and townhomes. The apartments would have one and two-bedroom layouts and the townhomes would have three bedrooms.

The project also calls for 46,600 square feet of office space, 52,775 square feet of retail space, a 14,000 square foot recreation center and more.

The 10 would also provide 1,034 residential parking spaces and 448 commercial parking spaces.

Developers propose to annex the 40-acre site into the City of Meridian and change the zoning to meet the project’s specifications.

Because of the 10’s location, it must follow the Ten Mile Interchange Specific Area Plan and be cohesive with the buildings that already exist. More information on TMISAP is available here.

The applicant will be in front of Meridian Planning and Zoning on May 20, 2021, to request an Annexation, a Conditional Use Permit and a Preliminary Plat.
