Masks no longer required in McCall

Residents and visitors in McCall, Idaho will no longer have to wear a mask within city limits.

During a special McCall City Council meeting on Thursday, members voted to lift the city mask mandate based on criteria and metrics that have been met.  The order was set to expire on May 26, 2021.

Businesses in McCall will have the option to continue requiring masks for customers if they choose. The city of McCall is also encouraging businesses to follow CDC guidelines, CDH advisories, and State Rebound Stages. The public is also encouraged to follow CDH guidelines that still promote face coverings.

During Thursday’s meeting, health officials urged city council members to reinstate the mask mandate in the future if things begin to go in the wrong direction.
