Meridian could get a large new apartment complex that includes units with office space built in – something that could come in handy for folks working remotely in the age of COVID-19.
Developed by Brighton Corporation, the third phase of the Ten Mile Creek Apartments would include 238 units made up of 42 studios, 12 one-bedrooms, 74 two-bedrooms, and live-work units. The unit sizes range from 516 square feet to 1,036 square feet.
A live-work apartment unit has a dedicated area inside for people working from home. Ten Mile Creek has two different live-work floorplans. One is a small two-story/one-bed unit and the other is a large two-story/two-bed unit. The two units would sit at the front of the complex on the northwest corner of the building on Wayfinder Ave.
The complex, located within Ten Mile Creek, would offer several amenities to its tenants including a 7,640 square foot clubhouse with a fitness center, pet grooming station, conference room, entertainment area, and more. Other amenities include a pool, year-round spa, and climate-controlled hallways.
“The extraordinary site amenities noted above, (are) coupled with innovative new-urban design with an emphasis on integrated internal open space facilities, and access to the Tenmile Creek regional pathway system, “ the application letter said.
The complex would have 379 total parking spaces including garage, uncovered, street, and electric vehicle charging stations.
Because of the apartment’s location, it is subject to the Ten Mile Interchange Specific Area Plan (TMISAP) and BoiseDev recently reported a new development agreement was reached for the area. Brighton noted in the application letter that the new DA will “supersede” all previously decided apartment plans. More information on TMISAPis available here.
There is currently no Meridian Planning and Zoning hearing date set for the Ten Mile Creek Apartments.
