Combination hotel/apartment moves forward in Meridian

Last year BoiseDev told you about the hotel/apartment project called Oakwood WaterWalk slated for Meridian.

The four-story building which would sit at N. Eagle Rd and E. Franklin Rd has resubmitted its application, indicating that the project is moving forward.

The application letter says the combination hotel/apartment, “Oakwood WaterWalk is a corporate lodging provider focusing on the extended-stay needs for today’s business traveler.” Oakwood WaterWalk offers several amenities that are good for people staying awhile including pet areas, grills, and bicycle racks. The hotel/apartment also includes utilities, phone, TV, and internet, charged at a monthly rate.

Oakwood WaterWalk has several locations around the country. The company generally offers both furnished hotel rooms and unfurnished apartment rooms. Typically, these hotels have about 150 units that are one, two, and three-bedroom.

There is currently no hearing date set for the Oakwood WaterWalk.
