You Asked: The outside of a new Boise gym is done, but then work stopped. Will it still open?

A new gym powered by a Boise sports star is still on the way in Southeast Boise.

More than two years ago, BoiseDev told you about a collaboration between Olympian cyclist Kristin Armstrong and developer Ball Ventures Ahlquist for a string of four gyms across the Treasure Valley.

So far, BVA completed the locations for Pivot Lifestyle + Fitness at Ten Mile in Meridian and downtown Boise, but it hasn’t finished the other two locations yet due to the pandemic. The location in Barber Valley will open this fall. BVA will then turn its attention to finishing the location at the entrance of the Paramount subdivision off of Chinden Boulevard.

“COVID-19 has been pretty rough on that industry so we were waiting until the pandemic was over and then we’ll finish it out,” developer Tommy Ahlquist said, about the Barber Valley location.

The facilities will include studios for hot yoga, functional training, cycling and general gym space.
