Want to fly from Boise to Moscow-Pullman? Another new flight on the way

The flurry of new nonstop destinations from the Boise Airport continues, with more new flights from Alaska Airlines.

Last week we told you a previously paused launch of service from Boise to Everett will resume.

Now, the Seattle-based airline said it will add two new destinations: Phoenix and Moscow-Pullman.

Alaska will be the fourth airline to add service from Boise to Phoenix, behind Southwest, American and Allegiant. (Allegiant flies to the smaller Gateway airport while Southwest, American and Alaska service Sky Harbor).

The airline will now also add service to the Moscow-Pullman airport, which sits between the two cities on the Idaho/Washington border.

Service will leave Boise five times per week at 11:10am MT and arrive at 11:15am PT. Folks heading from the Palouse back to Boise will leave at 11:55am PT and arrive at 1:34pm MT.

“Nonstop air service betweenMoscowandBoiseimproves access for our Vandal families to engage in the quality education offered at our residential campus,” University of IdahoPresidentScott Green said. “It’s our goal to break down barriers to access and do our part to improve the go-on rate of our state. This flight is also vital to all ofIdaho’sresidents to participate most fully in government and business.”

Though the airport is technically just over the border in Washington, it will be the only nonstop flight from a commercial carrier directly serving another Idaho city from BOI.

“The Boise Airport is grateful that Alaska Airlines continues to improve connectivity for residents of the Treasure Valley,” Boise Airport DirectorRebecca Hupp said. “With Idaho’s vast rural geography, regional flights are an important link in our transportation system. I’m confident the nonstop service toPullman-Moscowmatches the needs of our community, and I’m thrilledAlaskais connecting two important regions of the state again.”

The flights to Moscow will start August 17th. The new Phoenix service launches November 19th.

For folks counting at home, this will bring the Boise Airport to 28 nonstop destinations.
