Artists jazz up Eagle Rd. underpass with murals

In January, BoiseDev reported that the Eagle Arts Commission was looking for artists to dress up an Eagle underpass.

Two teams, lead by artists Traci Adams and Jessie Nilo, made that vision come to life.

They each designed and painted murals on the entrance walls of the Mace Trail underpass off Eagle Road.

While the teams had some guidelines, they were able to choose how and what they wanted to paint in a seven-day time frame.

On one side of the underpass, you will find a mural of the Boise River. At the top, a fly fisher is casting into the water-filled with rainbow trout.

On the other side, you’ll find a landscape painting of the mountains, wildlife, and blue skies that says “radiate positivity”.

Each team will receive $7500 for their work.
