The Meridian Planning and Zoning Commission will hear an application for a subdivision with assisted living and single-family homes Thursday.
Babcock Designs’ Andorra Subdivision would be a mixed-use development that features office space, 61single-family homes, and a three-story 91-unit assisted living home with 18 of those units dedicated to memory care.
The three-story assisted living facility would consist of a mix of studios, one and two bedrooms with kitchens, and housekeeping and laundry service.
The 90,000 square foot assisted living and memory care facility would have an “amenity-rich” interior. There would be a spa, salon, restaurant, multipurpose/movie theater, library, lounge, crafts, and more space.
“The outdoor community will feature open grassy areas at least 50’ by 100’, community gardens, water features, walking trailers, bocce ball, outdoor courtyard, and restaurant seating,” the application letter said.
The single-family portion would be houses that are not restricted but “targeted” 55 plus homes. They would have a “variety” of style, price, and size, the application said.
The single-family area will also feature several amenities. There would be a clubhouse with a pool, workout space, lounge area, sundeck, and potential two-story office space to bring a commercial element
“The outdoor areas will include open grassy areas, water features, walking trails, pickleball, horseshoe pits, picnic gazebos, and a dog park.”
Parking would consist of double stall garages, driveways, and street parking, the application said.
The Andorra subdivision would be located at 675, 715, and 955 S. Wells St. The July 15 hearing starts at 6 P.M.
