Balloon and event shop moves into old Vista Moose Fraternity

The Moose Lodge on Vista Ave. was once the gathering place of the Moose Fraternity – an order of men founded in the late 1800s.

Now, the once bright yellow building is home to Zeppelin Balloons – a locally owned event design and balloon delivery shop.

These are not your average party balloons, though. Owner Lydia Purcell is a balloon stylist who creates unique and made-to-order balloon garlands.

“I have created a new way to look at balloons and arrange them using no helium, but old-fashioned air instead,” Purcell said. “I tie them together to create unique one-of-a-kind art installations for the communities events and celebrations.”

Purcell said she is now offering a fun space in the new building for small events, “Customers can now bring their celebrations to this beautiful building and enjoy it as much as I do while having all their party needs accessible.”

Purcell started selling balloon garland kits in 2014 and opened Zeppelin Balloons in 2019.

“My goal is to expand my party supply resources and be the “it place” to get unique and trending party supplies,” she said. “This gorgeous building creates a magical shopping experience like no other party store.”

Zeppelin Ballons also rent ball pits and white jump houses for parties.
