You asked: what’s going up on Ustick Rd.?

A new apartment complex is still on its way off of Ustick Rd. in Meridian.

Shannon Robnett industries’ Summertown Apartments recently started construction after a long delay due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The City of Meridian originally approved the apartments in 2019.

The Summertown property will have 14 buildings with 191 apartment units the application letter said. There will be a mix of garden-style one, two, and three-bedroom units and a mix of two and three-bed rowhouse units. The average rent is $1,650, the unit mix flyer said.

“We intend on providing 191 E-star certified, artfully designed, and reasonably priced units,” the project description said.

[Chinden Blvd. saw a major widening project. But one section will stay two lanes, for now]

The complex will have an “extensive amenity package.” There will be a clubhouse with children’s play areas, a pool, patios, gym and yoga room, a media room, pet park, park benches, and a courtyard.

The complex will have 404 parking stalls, 58 stalls will be garage parking, the site plan said.

Summertown sits at 745 W Ustick Road, across the street from Settlers Park, and is only 10 minutes from the Village at Meridian.
