St. Lukes is adding a self-service pharmacy prescription pick-up kiosk outside of the hospital on Bannock St. in Downtown Boise.

Chris Broders with Pivot North Architecture wrote in an application letter that this addition will “allow clients to pick up their prescriptions without having to enter the medical center if they choose.”

The kiosk will be inside a small, standalone 209 square foot building which will have windows so that patients can enter one-at-a-time.

“The purpose of these windows is to allow patrons to see if anyone is currently using the kiosk while also allowing them to see who is outside the building while they exit the building,” Broders notes in the letter.

Those wanting to use the kiosk will be able to park in the St. Luke’s parking garage outside the main hospital entrance.

City of Boise staff approved the kiosk last month.
