New Dutch Bros. hopes to ask N. Meridian how its day is going

Another Dutch Bros Coffee could come to Meridian.

Located in the Lost Rapids Subdivision off of Chinden, the 1,154 square foot coffee stand would have double drive-through lanes that would hold up to 33 vehicles in line. There would also be a walk-up area for customers.

“The proposed building is visually interesting and will be constructed with a variety of high-quality building materials and painted with simple, bold colors,” the application letter said. “…The building features modulation with a tower element, building wall articulation, and building materials that are aesthetic and compatible with other newer developments in the community. Colorful and visually interesting wall signs depicting the Dutch Bros Coffee logos will be installed on all sides of the building.”

In addition to the drive-thru, the application letter said there would be 14 parking stalls.

Dutch Bros. has more than two dozen locations in the Treasure Valley from Ontario to Mtn. Home.

Coffee, energy drinks

Dutch Bros serves a variety of drinks and snacks, including White Coffee, Dutch Bros Blue Rebel energy drinks, granola bars, and Private Reserve Coffee.

The City of Meridian has not set a hearing date for the new Dutch Bros.

“Dutch Bros Coffee is a successful business that will promote improvement of the existing commercial area. Dutch Bros Coffee locations are known to be clean and well maintained, providing quick service from friendly staff,” the application letter said. “The proposed coffee shop will provide excellent products and service, along with enhanced landscaping areas, lighting, and pedestrian open space at the project site that will benefit all customers and users in the immediate vicinity and the surrounding areas.”
